Senior Retreat

Legacy: Spiritual Exercises for the Fourth Day

The Legacy Retreat Program

In Gonzaga’s fifth year offering follow-up to Kairos, campus ministry will re-organize its offerings to facilitate ease of participation and an ensured opportunity to foster the Fourth Day spirit associated with Kairos. Our hope is to draw groups of Kairos alumni, both juniors and seniors, into various events that call them to renewed fellowship, deeper prayer, and ongoing reflection.

Legacy Retreats in Daily Life- For the first year, campus ministry will sponsor retreats in daily life for juniors and seniors who have made Kairos.  Over two or three lunch periods in a single week, groups of Kairos alumni will gather in meeting spaces on campus to pray briefly together, have lunch, and hang out.  In the first semester, senior alumni of the Kairos retreat will lead guided Ignatian meditations and gather groups for lunch on the following dates: September 17 & 18, September 24 & 25, November 4 & 5, and December 2 & 3.

Legacy Days of Recollection – For the second year, campus ministry will sponsor two days of recollection for Kairos alumni that will free students to rekindle the spirit of prayer and fellowship that mark the Kairos retreat.  These opportunities will include both student and adult leadership without requiring the extensive time away of a typical retreat.  We will offer Legacy Days of Prayer or Recollection on March 9th and April 6th
