WZAG, a closed circuit TV station, is the source of morning news and information at Gonzaga. The station is operated by the students on a daily basis, moderated by faculty.

Gonzaga recognized many years ago that communications, whether it be visual, literary, oral, dramatic, or electronic, was an important field for students to be able to study. As a result, WZAG, a TV Communications course, came into the curriculum as a junior/senior elective course.

Students have the opportunity to:

-learn television history and its place in society
-learn how to use professional editing equipment
-learn by hands-on experience to create special features
   -research, interview, and air editorials
-anchor a news program, delivering daily announcements
-experience the production of a live, local show
