The Aquilian, Gonzaga’s student newspaper, has a long history of reporting and recording the news on and off Eye Street. The newspaper’s staff is composed of students who develop, research, write, and layout news stories for six issues each academic year. While The Aquilian will accept articles from any member of the student body, faculty or staff, it reserves the right to independently edit and select all materials for publication. Articles can be submitted as e-mail attachments to aquilian@gonzaga.org.
Each year The Aquilian presents two major awards on Charter Day. The Michael Kelly Award is given to the senior who has made the greatest contribution to journalism at Gonzaga that year. The Paul Burke Award is given to the underclassman who has made the greatest contribution to journalism at Gonzaga that year.
